Our vision

Airgo is a patented, CE Class IIa certified wearable medical device. It is a unique non-intrusive proxy for spirometry, respiratory pattern detection and sleep disorder screening (OSA, CSA, AHI, RDI, sleep staging, Cheyne–Stokes).

We have successfully extended its use to critical Covid-19 patient care, live monitoring and management correlating key respiratory parameters crucial in respiratory distress monitoring (ARDS).

Our area of expertise is strategic monitoring of respiration dynamics during sleep and daytime activity, providing precise breath metrics, automated scoring and early indication of respiratory distress.

We have conducted clinical trials on over 1,000 patients and have analysed 10,000+ hours of validated data at leading international institutions including MGH (Boston, USA), Fondazione Maugeri (Veruno and Pavia, Italy), Minnesota Sleep Institute (Minneapolis, USA) and Ospedale Santa Croce e Carle (Cuneo, Italy)

The product

Airgo™ is composed of a wearable, miniaturized recorder unit and a medical grade holter worn over the floating ribs of patients both at rest and during normal activity. The recorder measures live circumference changes.

Fully patented, the platform excels at long term live and remote monitoring of patients engaged in regular daily activity, full night sleep sessions and exercise.

  • Mask-free medical grade recorder, single point, ergonomic fit

  • 24/7 respiratory & sleep recording, with over 6 weeks of data autonomy

  • Hospital & Home, night and day, easy to wear and record both live and programmed tests

Data is processed realtime and our proprietary algorithms can output live alarms and comprehensive diagnostic reports for physicians, allowing them to diagnose patient conditions faster and with added precision.

All algorithms and DL/ML procedures are already in place, and are being integrated into a GDPR / HIPAA compliant cloud platform for large scale deployment.

Investors

We have closed a 1 million euro, Series A round with HTH Health Technology Holding

The investment will contribute to the scale-up of sensor production and commercialisation of our cloud based Airgo Console and the Airgo Semantic Engine, a GDPR / HIPAA compliant platform for live monitoring and AI assisted respiratory diagnostics.

The science

Airgo™ analyzes the minute ventilation (MV) trends that document lung re-expansion, applying our algorithms to monitor pre and post-op recovery, identify major breathing disorders including apnea, hypopnea and spontaneous arousals as well as and predict trends in Acute Respiratory Disorder Syndrome (ARDS) typical of Covid-19.

Our analysis is based first on our patented platform and algorithms using a physiological model of respiratory dynamics to generate our Respiratory Instability Curves© (RIC) - that correlate directly to industry standard AHI and provide instant insight as to the nature of the sleep and respiratory quality.

Ongoing Machine Learning and AI analysis is helping to further automate correlations with sleep staging and other respiratory disorders.
